The configurations page is very important: follow this configuration carefully.

  • Mixer: this setting tells the FC what is the shape of the drone. The shape of the drone and the direction of spinning of the motors (clockwise or counter-clockwise) are necessary for the FC’s internal "motor mixing algorithm" that maps higher level commands (roll, pitch, yaw and thrust) to lower level commands (“speeds” of each motor: m1, …, m4).

Do not reverse the direction of the motors.



Take note of the motor numbering with respect to the “front” of the drone, i.e., where the red arrow is pointing. We will define the DD21 front as where the camera is, and place Captain duckie facing in that direction to remind us of it all the time.
